Your starting point is to continually increase your company’s sales by processing customers and constantly ensuring that it is a creative and driven sales culture in the company. In all your work it is crucial to always have the customer in focus and have a business approach. You should ask yourself what your perceptions are perceived by the company’s customers and what you do is create value for the company to best serve customer focus and business purpose as a goal. Your supervisory role includes working for a creative and positive work environment that is characterized by mutual respect between colleagues and leading the M&S team to success.

As Marketing & Sales Director (M&S Director), you will develop and implement methods to drive marketing activity through technical marketing, maintaining and enhancing market presence and presenting our product portfolio to current and future customers. Your main focus is on creative and intelligent marketing where you are in charge of the company’s work on product development and marketing communication. In all your work, it is crucial that you always have the customer in focus and that you have a business approach.

Your powers of responsibilities

The Employee shall as M&S – Director report to the CEO of the Company (ARI) and shall:
Manage the sales and marketing of the Company subject to the Instructions adopted by the Management team and the Company’s guidelines and objectives as set out by the CEO.
Ensure that the provisions of the US commercial laws as well as other legislation and the Company’s articles of association are complied with; and ensure that the management of the Marketing & Sales department is carried out in accordance with sound principles in commercial, ethical and personnel respects.

You are a key person for the company when it comes to establishing trust in and good relationships with the customers as well as creating a creative sales organization with strong drive. As an M&S Director you are responsible for both the strategical and operational management of the sales and marketing team and related based on the company’s business plan. As M&S Director you have your own budget responsibility. You are also responsible for developing and maintain the company’s pricing policy.

You are a key person for how the company is perceived, partly the company’s products and, secondly, the company as an employer. Based on the company’s business plan, you will establish a marketing plan for the company and draw up a budget for the marketing business.
You are responsible for all printed/non printed matter and other marketing attributes and that they are produced. In your work, you will constantly focus on strengthening your company brand. To ensure that the results of marketing activities are in line with the company’s brand strategy, vision and sales perspective. Ensuring Maximum Return on Investment for each Marketing activity.

You are responsible for participate and contribute to the Management team with M&S input and consideration and to contribute to the strategic directions of the company

Your duties

• Continuous training / coaching of existing sales team.
• Sales tracking.
• Performance reporting and budget liability.
• Administrative tasks.
• Actively develop our way of selling so that we are always “best in class”.
• Responsible for and developing follow-up and governance models and the development of relevant key figures in sales.
• Arrange sales meetings, follow up on results, lead, enthusiasm and “coach”.
• Responsible for creating Strategic plans and Marketing plans
• Budgeting/estimate
• Reporting
• Co-visits
• Develop dedicated customer accounts
• Participate in and contribute to the management team
Your areas of authorization
• Activities within approved sales and marketing plan and sales budget
• To negotiate with customers, Agencies, Vendors with respect to agreements and pricing
• 1st attesting invoices
• Customer contacts
• Travel as needed
• Pricing according to approved Pricing policy
• Leading the M&S team to success and making sure the team are highly motivated

Key Requirements

• Minimum bachelor’s degree (scientific, marketing, sales, finance related field)
• Minimum 10 years B2B specialty ingredient sales experience in food and food supplement industries
• Minimum 5 years in managerial position leading sales teams
• Proven ability to generate new customers and negotiate prices and contracts
• Proven ability with converting leads into concrete, long lasting agreements
• Established network in the food and food supplement industry
• Well versed in the various regulatory frameworks for food and food supplements in US
• Experience in new market entry strategy
• Excellent presentation skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Fluency in other language(s) is highly advantageous (Spanish)

• Articulate and strong communication skills along with ability to deliver a credible message to existing and potential customers, peers, investors and other key audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to clearly and succinctly describe complex scientific information verbally and textually to less scientifically inclined or business-focused audiences as necessary
• Proven track record of managing relationships with both business partners and customers
• Highly organized, ability to multi-task
• True entrepreneurial spirit and a strong appetite for building and developing new business
• Strategic planning skills and to transform that to tactical activities
• Strong managerial skills and proven track record of successfully leading teams both in sales and marketing
• A merit to have both B2C and B2B experience
• Used to and long experience of working with R&D team to develop external demand and ideas ion to successful products and services
