Maintenance Technician
ABOUT THE POSITION
The successful candidate will possess the following skills, abilities, and experience:
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with without notice.
- Follows safe working practices and procedures and participates in safety programs.
- Follows current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Read and interpret schematic drawings and documentation.
- Follow daily work activities schedule to meet maintenance objectives. Estimate materials and time needed to complete activities to ensure completion of tasks.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and processing machinery, equipment, and components, including pumps, compressors, bearings, and seals.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair material-managing systems, including fluid transfer systems.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic systems, including valves, regulators, filters, and associated equipment.
- Set-up and operate machining, welding, and fabrication equipment.
- Maintain and operate test and measuring instruments and equipment to determine functional operation of production machinery, equipment, and associated systems.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance as established by maintenance program.
- Maintain documentation to record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, and tests.
- Communicate with other departments to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems.

Food Safety and Security
- Responsible for upholding the principles of the Company’s food safety certification program.
- Responsible for immediately reporting any food safety, food quality or plant security issues to management for appropriate action.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) in Maintenance Technology or closely related discipline
- Two plus years of applicable facilities or maintenance experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems and equipment
- Ability to work within a team
- Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong documentation and recordkeeping skills
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail

Computer Skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
